VETS A (Division Three)

Oct. v Basildon B (H) An easy win for the A squad comprising Ian Rattray, Chris Aukett and Alan Wood. The B's only success came with a win by Colin Clements over Alan Wood, coming back from a 2-1 deficit to take the last two games. Ian Rattray was taken to five ends in both his singles by Dave Kirston and Gary Hartgrove but held firm to take both sets. The final doubles against Gary and Dave could have gone either way but Ian and Chris held their nerve to take the fifth end 11-7

Nov. v Braintree B (A) The home squad ( Chris Aukett, Paul Brown, Trevor Collin) could only manage 2 points against a strong Braintree team

Dec. v West Essex A (H) (Dec. 13th) Although most games were very close, Chris Aukett, Paul Brown and Ian Rattray were on the losing end of a 6-3 scoreline.

Jan. v bye

Feb. v Southend B (A)
