Results of the Handicap Cup and Quarter Final draw now on the Cup page.

Stanford are changing their venue from January 2nd. All teams now play on TUESDAY.

SLH Table Tennis Club, Corringham Village Hall, Springhouse Road, Corringham SS17 7LE.

This is situated 200 yards from the old Springhouse/ Shell venue, on the same side of the road.

Basildon E home night is incorrectly stated as Tuesday on the centre page of the handbook. It should be Thursday.

Mike Trendell's home phone number should read 01375 481766, not 481776.

The Basildon Hospital multi-storey car park now runs a car registration number recognition system, therefore, before you leave the car park to go home, you need to go to the machine and enter your car registration number and pay the correct charge. Depending on how long you stay the cost will be either 3 or 4. If you have parked in this car park, the table tennis club will make a reimbursement for ONE car.

Please note that the Start time for matches is 7.45pm. Because of security we cannot leave the Physiotherapy door open, but, we will look out for visiting players from 7.25 to 7.40 at the latest.

High Alert Status at Basildon Hospital

In recent weeks Basildon Hospital has been on High Alert Status because of the high demand on A&E and for in-patient beds.

Where there is an extreme demand, there may be occasions when non-traditional inpatient areas are required for patient overflow i.e. more clinical areas to cope with the demand.

The impact of such situations could lead to the physiotherapy gymnasium (where we play table tennis) being used for patient care,

which could be at very short notice. Therefore, even when we have started a match against a visiting team the gym may have to be evacuated,

as the Alert Status can change very rapidly. We do apologise for any inconvenience that such a situation may cause to visiting clubs.

Mike Smith (For Basildon Hospital Table Tennis Club).
